I wanna say thank you to EVERYONE. You guys are awesome, I even explain how thankful and grateful I am for all the help provided, without you all I would have been a mess. This may sound cheesy but it pretty much shows that members of MNSubaru are pretty much family. And here are just a few pics of the owies. Fobia- I'm sorry, I'm so grateful that you are ok. =/ The all the boo boos my precious went through... The Ditch...
wow that's sux yO....she can be fixed....most important you guys r ok.....come back home safe along my boy fabio hehe.....take cares
....yikes!.... Just a week after the fall run... Were you practicing for next week? That's gotta be a terrible feeling watching it go away on a trailer... What happened?
wow, sorry to hear/see this. What do you mean she was on fire? Whats that brown liquid on the right door and mirror. I am glad you guys are ok
Where do you think the brown liquid came from? OIL. WeRideXtreme dont worry about the car, that is what insurance is for and atleast everyone was ok.
Yeah, I think everyone was just happy you guys where OK!! That situation was pretty scary for a couple minutes.
I feel for you... I know what it's like to lose a loved car, it's happened to me twice this year... At least you guys were ok!
i cant believe how little damage was done for flipping the car. glad you guys are safe and enjoyed(hopefully) the rest of the trip....i know fobia did lol
+1! I am really glad that everyone is ok. when i first heard (i took the wrong turn and wasnt there) my heart sank. Everyone has said it but it is so true. cars can be replaced and people cant. Not to step on anyones toes but i think we have been extremely lucky up to this point. with all of the stupid stuff that has been done that nothing bad has happened. this was bound to happen eventually. I am sorry it had to be WeRideExtreme but seriously with some of the stuff that happens it amazing something didnt happen sooner. I am so glad that everyone is ok. Let this be a reminder to us that we are not invincible. ESPECIALLY YOU PEOPLE WHO WERE PASSING TODAY AND CUTTING IT REAL CLOSE TO ONCOMING TRAFFIC WHEN YOU HAD WARNINGS. USE COMMON SENSE! As for the car. I agree with justin the damage doesnt look that bad. the fender and front door looked to have minimal damage. bumper covers are easy fixes, i dont think the car will be totaled on body damage. I am not sure what happened to the motor. But if it was just a blown oil line / filter and the fire was put out quickly i bet there will be virtually no engine damage. granted i wasnt there and didnt see it, but from what i have gathered i bet it will be ok. cant say it enough. So happy everyone is safe.
Or, the brown fluid on the door could be muddy water from the little stream of water that was in that ditch. How does oil get under the side of a car and flow down a door from the window? The burning fluid was likely from the trashed oil filter and from the dipstick on the transmission.
Thanks everyone for all the help again. I'm just really relieved that nothing happened to Matt or me. As for the car, life goes on, she was my precious and still is. I wanted to go home but I figured the trip would be better for me, and it was. I liked hanging out with everyone and OCB's fuel incident will never be forgotten. No offense to OCB, but it did make me laugh even after having my precious roll over. I don't know exactly what I'm going to do with it yet. I'm more pissed at myself than anything, but there's not **** I can do about it, except move forward and concentrate on what to do now. I'm pretty positive that the insurance will see it as totaled since I pretty much need a new motor, and all the body work. The officer even wrote "total" under Damage Ser. So if it is then I'll use the money to pay the rest of it off. Possibly buy it back depending on how much she'll cost, and either part it out, or try and save up to fix it. I know it sounds kind of silly to try and fix it but that car made me feel safe, and during the whole accident in the back of my mind I knew I was safe. I'm not saying that every accident that a Subaru gets into is going to come out ok, but I know that this specific one that happened to me I wasn't scared. Now if I were in my old Honda, we probably would've died, and I think Fobia's smart enough not to get into a Honda. ='/
yeah fighting the flames and saving lives is just kind of my thing....... and thanks to all that helped out again.
FIX IT!!! I have those little fender corner lights if you need them. I also have a silver sedan front bumper with minimal damage and a silver hood with hail damage...
Thank you, but I don't think I need the corner lights. If I were to fix it my first concern would be the motor. Then suspension, and rear door. =/ My hood is ugly but not too bad, two dents. I might need the bumper depending on what kind of damage it's got, or if I can get the towing company to pay for it then I won't need it.
glad to hear everyone was OK, its only a car as others have stated, the engine sounds like it could suck...but the body damage doesnt seem too bad, but you wont know till you check the frame and engine really
^ what would their be to part out? but yea that car was mega super awesome sad to see it go! i will miss seeing the pink calipers..we can hold a vigil for it next to the pink spot on my car...glad you are not hurt and Matt of course...
^if they total it for sure do that And the brown fluid is oil on that side, and on the hood you can see the transmission fluid, i stuck my hand in it as we were flipping it over. Glad you were able to salvage the weeked and seem to have a good time! what a good sport!!
yeah if the motor is toast then it is not that worth it unless you really want to do a build or a swap in a gc.
engine parts, exterior parts, there wasnt much damage to the car honestly. you would be able to part out 90% of the car.
I pretty much want to fix it. Of course all depending on the damage and cost.. -_-; The body is the least of my worries, I would for sure have to replace the windshield and door. But I can face driving around with a messed up bumper and a dent in the hood IF, it is repairable...
extreem(sorry forgot your name), that sucks so much about the car, i hope they total it... it was nice meeting you and sorry about the drunken posting last night... glad you two are ok.
any clue what is wrong with the engine stuff? if you decide to rebuild it IMO it would be awesome. otherwise if there is a part out, well those pink calipers are pretty HAWT. I am still amazed at how little damage there is to that passenger side. that rear door is toasted but the front door, rear quarter, and front fender look to be in pretty good shape. (didnt dipp have some doors for sale?)
