There she is, snapped a few pics with my 1.3 MP cameraphone, not the best, but you get the picture (literally). Man this thing misbehaves. This is my first RWD car. In fact, its my only car that hasn't been AWD Turbo. The traction control is definately staying on for a while until i can harness the beast.

umm, there's already one there from the factory. Its a liquid to air intercooler and has a heat exchanger mounted right in front, just like a FMIC. Its about the same size as the SRT-4's factory FMIC, not small by any means.

haha, its hard to stay off of the "go pedal". I was super cautious all day and just now went for a little flogging. That is addicting as hell.

It is a nice looking 'stang. A buddy of mine had a 5.0 'stang so I will just leave it to your imagination. It was scary to ride in at times hahaha, and it was loud as freaking hell proly scared most of the children in the neighborhood whenever he took it out.

yeah, had it parked in the back row at Firestone all night while i walked around. I'm sure i'll bring it down again next week.

On a side note, this thing goes through the gas like you wouldn't believe. Its mileage is 16/22, not too far off of what i'm sure my Stage 3 WRX did under NORMAL driving practices, but this thing burns through far more gas when going WOT, went through a whole tank yesterday in only 160 miles.

i don't doubt its nice, but i'm looking in the price range that goes from free to $2000 lol. The cobra eats my wallet, need something cheap; no payments, low insurance, and it'd be a plus if it ran on anything besides gas.

Coming from the kid who used to think driving down to University was a waste of gas.

Now he's got the big, bad V8 and he wants to drive all over hell and show off the new ride... :p

IIRC, that's not TECHNICALLY an intercooler. Your intercooler (which could actually be referred to as an aftercooler) is mounted UNDER your supercharger.

An intercooler can be considered a heat exchanger but your heat exchanger doesn't really do, by definition, that of an intercooler in that it runs coolant underneath the supercharger to cool the air. So basically it does the same function as a radiator (sort of) but cools the air instead of the engine.

This is what the Lightning's intercooler looks like without the supercharger bolted on..
