I just had an idea. Many of us buy, sell, ship, and receive parts. Many of these parts come on odd shaped boxes made specifically for that product. Places like the UPS store MAY have what you need, but it isn't cheap or as environmentally friendly as re-using. Post up what you have/need and your approximate location. Maybe we can save each other some headaches (like I had when I shipped my APR wing) *MODS- move this thread as you see fit
I can get small thinner boxes... my wife does a lot of ebay selling etc.. so I am starting to get the air filter boxes and stuff from the dealership.. some of those cone boxes are about 10"x10" cubed so good for packing stuff... this is a good idea
we always have tons of boxes laying around, anyone is welcome to them. just let us know and we can save them.
I might some time soon! I also have boxes of various sizes here at work, thanks to the Parts dept. Inter City Truck Service, Hwy 280 and I-94 in St Paul
Well, like many others, I have a pretty constantly rotating supply of boxes. the UPS guy frequents my home (and I frequent the ups store....). nothing terribly interesting, except this one. I got a header panel and headlight from RockAuto, and they came in this beast: would be perfect for side skirts and/or front lip etc. I sure wish I'd had this 6 months ago when I shipped those LGT side skirts to the west coast. I can't bring myself to throw it away, but I don't have anything that I would be using it for any time soon (no way in hell am I selling my body kit!!!!!) it's ~5.5' long x ~2' wide x ~1' thick. and yea, there's a pair of radiator boxes in the background, and a couple others visible there, and I've got a large pile in the basement. I tend to have a steady supply of larger boxes, but the smaller ones don't last one (wiring harnesses always come in larger boxes than they leave in!)
