    hey guys,
I need to get summer rims coz I only have Blizzaks at the moment (traded my RE92s for them :D) Anyway, gonna jump on the Rota bandwagon and they're 7.5" at narrowest so I'd like to go 225. But I have a wrx wagon and I've read the debates about 225 + rubbing. Does anybody out there have a wagon and 225s with an experience they want to share?

Otherwise, I may have to look for a 7" wide rim :(

Also, does anybody know if Sumitomo HTR+ are a narrower 225? I'm pretty fixed on those because of my brother's good experience. Plus they're cheap.

I have seen 8.5" wheels on a wagon with springs. They were Advan RGs i believe.

You could mount 215s on a 7.5" rim.

Well, I'm going 7.5 for sure, I just like a meatier shoulder both for looks and grip. I've seen some that look like this (looking at the tread): /---- \ instead of |-----| because the rim is on the wide side of allowable rim widths for the tire.

Well, I just made a spreadsheet of all tire specs for 215 and 225 ultra high performance all seasons. In comparison, S03 and Azenis RT215 (which I've heard rub on wagons) are 1/10-2/10" wider section width than Sumi HTR+ and Pirelli Pzero Neros, so the Sumis and Pierllis might be ok.

I think I will be running 225. Am I just talking to myself now? :)

WE'll I have no idea if this helps you or not, but I'm running 225/40-18s on my car no problem, but then again I bought the car with these rims, and know nothing about them :D If I can post anything else that may not help you, just holler )

225 and usually 235 are safe for sedans. Wagons most people can only be totally safe with 215s. Roll your fenders and be done with it! :)
