Nope. i've still got the old REs in the garage. i need the Met-Council Points in Street Tire. but I'm going to bring the new ones and a floor jack along in hopes of buck runs.
+48 and they fit like a glove! www.SubyDude.com is the one who got me interested, and i used the specs from their website. Then i went down to MAS and they got me the wheels for $700 with lug nuts. and oddly enough, the place i found for the cheapest 615s was sears, and they got them within a week for $158 a apiece. $677 for a set with tax. a few bucks for mounting and balancing and i was good to go! They do Rub under a full suspension load, but it's nothing a good fender rolling wont fix.
Speaking of fender rolling, I just got a new set of Rota Tarmac 2s, which are also rubbing under a heavy load. If you're going to get yours rolled, do you plan on doing it yourself or have a professional do it? The reason I ask is because I need to either see how it's done or know where to go to get it done. Congrats on the new wheels!
i think I'm going to do it myself, but I'm going to check on some body shops first. There is a guy on MNSC who's got a fender roller, and i think he'll loan it to some people.
Yup, sears. surprisingly enough, they have the best deal on the 615s anywhere, short of an online order. you just have to know what you want, their special order. i even went to discount tires with the quote from sears to see if they would price match or do better. their quote "Go back to sears."
I may need to dig up a little $$$ if the guy wants some for his tool. *sigh* but first I need to get a job....$$ at the bank won't always be there..
I don't understand why does it rub if it's a offset of 48, I can understand why mine does because the offset is 40, and it rubs like crazy...
yeah, and sears will price match for ya if you do find them cheaper. I've worked there for 4 years, and i've bought 3 sets from there over the time. These are my next tires when i get new rims. I fortuneatly get a discount and whatnot, i think i'll be paying about $120 a peice when its all said and done, i've already calculated it all.
