    No, I didn't mean WRX....just RX

for those that don't know, the RX was an EA82T 3-door coupe from the late '80s, with Dual-Range Full-Time 4WD with center diff lock and rear LSD, 3.70:1 final drive, full ground effects and wing. only available in white, and a few months in '89 black. They're very rare, and VERY cool. I'm using the drivetrain from one behind an EJ22 in my loyale....

anyway, this one started life like this....not too glamorous

then an EJ20 was added, I'm not sure of the details, but probably of JDM WRX descent. with matching tranny and rear diff. also a 5-lug swap, using GC8 front suspension and brakes. and a paint job:

Anyway, that was years ago it never ran right, and the origional owner/builder gave up and passed it along. it dropped off the radar for years, whoever had it was not a member of any online boards, and the car was not fixed. it just sat....until about a month ago, when another USC member bought it. fixed it, and is now driving it:

anyway, more can be seen here:

There was a guy out there somewhere that had put a Rotary in one of those. And made it a true "RX". It was black, can't seem to find pictures right now. That is a really slick lookin body style.

it's been even longer since the rotary-RX ran. I beleive Edrach has it now. notice the last update date on that page....2001. shortly after that the guy who wrote that page sold it, and it had lots of problems at that point. needed alot of work done to it, and the radiator setup was really bad.

anyway, found a mod list on the ultimate RX
    '87 RX w/ JDM Legacy EJ20G
    Haltech E6K Standalone EM
USDM Legacy 4.11 gearbox and viscous LSD
    XT6 5 lug conversion
Cobb 3" Cast bellmouth downpipe w/ High flow cat
3" exhaust with Flow Pro muffler
    Perrin EBCS
    High output fuel pump
    Boost gauge
    Fancy grabby clutch (hydrolic)
