so yeah, as alot of you know... i have been running tail lightless for like two months  so yeah, problems with lights are getting stranger.

so yeah, coming back from a meet tonight, turning from 101 onto 62 i turn in going a decent speed and proceed to drop the hammer and start pulling down the hill...well this is when all hell broke loose inside.

as i started to increase speed, my dash lights dimmed, RPMs dropped down about 200rpm from where they were adn then all the sudden they surged another 300-400rpm up, at this time my interior lights went friggin' balistic and started flashing...felt like a low grade porno shoot going on in the inside of my wagon. needless to say, i think there is more to my wiring problem.

    any ideas? lol

i know it sounds too simple but a ground....ill put money on it, I had a loose gound to my intake manifold on my bugeye which bacame loose on 394 one day and the whole cars lights flashed and i lost power and then got it back then the whole car shut off and we couldn't figure it out so i towed it to subaru...the car would sometimes start but certain things wouldnt work or only at half power and eventually it just wouldn't start.........I'm telling you i bet its a ground...Brian went through everything on the car...we thought it was a short, then the ecu, then the alternator then.........he calls me after a couple days laughing and saying its only a ground that was off on the intake manifold./..

yeah, i have been checking grounds since day one and i honestly havent been able to find it, thats what my first thought was when it all started to happen even. if i can go get the SVX this weekend and toss some temp insurance on it i think subaru will finally just have to deal with it

Have you looked at the plugs on the interior fuse box? Wires near there for discoloration? My main fuse box is wack, somehow. There's not much to them and I don't see how they go bad but they can.

I know 101 auto salvage has an older impreza, prob with the fuse box still in it. They charged me like 5-10 bux for the legacy one there.

So have you just used a meter and check all the wires in the tail lights?? Should be fairly easy to hund down, there is only a few wires to the harness that runs back there.

yep, using a multimeter and my eyes basically to try and find it and maybe see some damage to wires... but i havent found anything overly worn or burned looking yet.
