I still have the old ThinkPad from my Haltech RS-T. Just a 500 MHz P3-M but for tuning software it works just fine. Even has the car adapter in addition to something like 5 AC adapters and 2 docking bays. I also have a Compaq with a 1.4 Celeron but it truly is a piece of garbage. I think my brother took it to use for an internet machine.

I said free, not $1200... I've got a real light slim (2 lbs and about .9 inch thick) Dell. You can have it. It needs a power cord. It's probably around 500 mhz. I had a few. They all went to car guys for tuning PCs.

ummm..here's an idea. Why doesn't Tom create a group buy for tunes. Have everyone sign-up with a deposit. Tom buys his laptop, tunes cars, makes some money, pays off CC bill for laptop. done

I value my free time moreso now than before. Basically the last thing I want to do is come home and have to stare at enginuity tables after spending my entire day racking my brain on c++ actuarial models and spreadsheets. On a side note, I tuned my carb on my mx bike the other night with the wideband. The neighbors hate me now. lolz!
