    He should have just taken the keys. They could have still been there when the police arrived.

    If I was in the basement and they broke in, I would have greeted them with my twelve gauge.

    While that was hilarious, he could have just pulled the keys out and thrown them in a bush somewhere far away, but that might have alerted them if they heard the car stop running. +1 for him!

    yeah id have just thrown the keys. or whipped out my camera and taken lots of pics of them doing it as evidence. that way i can just show them to the judge and laugh it off.
