I just got informed that a White Van Parks in the customer entrance of the Dealership on Sundays around 10am-Noon or so...and goes around breaking in Customer car's and steal their decks and walks right out. I'm thinking it is the same guy hitt'in all the Subaru dealerships and maybe others as well. If you guys pass by any Subaru Dealers and see a white van, if possible just get the plate info. "Don't approach him" or "follow Him". We just got hit this pass weekend and it has been going on since Nov. 06 Or Cameras can not get a perfect pic of the van or the person... Any updates please post Thanks, Ray
That sucks. Do you have any kind of list of the equipment that was stolen? It'd be worth keeping an eye out on craiglist and ebay.
interesting, if i saw that crap going down i would go up to them and be like, "dude, whats the retail on a van like this, this things got balla status fo sho! you should so trade this beast in on a scoob tho, or better yet, STI swap it!" just kind of throw him off first... then POW! steal the van, show that sucka whats up and let him know whats going down. lol
just bumped into a kid yesterday in wrx that had his interior destroyed at the dealer..stereo pluss a few other things were taken..staking this guy out i will agree could be dangerous...almost worth the risk..any other mnsuby members carry? i do and i'm game for a stakeout
OK, I'm going to say this now because I feel the testosterone levels rising in here. 1) Do not bring a gun. 2) Do not confront them 3) Bring a camera, and if you can find one, an infrared LED flashlight. 4) Park in a place that you can see the lot, but have a very good escape route. 5) Have 2 or more escape routes pre-planned. I suggest if you are going to do this, get there around 10pm, bring snacks and cold drinks. You will be there a while. Wear dark clothes so when nightfall comes it is harder to see in your car. Also, black tape any LED indicators on your camera, and only use the viewfinder, do not use the LCD screen. If you see the perps, illuminate them with the IR flashlight, this will aid the video camera in the dark without having to shine a visible light on them. They can't see the IR flashlight as it isn't in the visible spectrum, but your video camera will....for proof of this, go grab your TV remote, point it at the camera and push a button, you should see it light up. As soon as you see them steal something, call 911 and alert the authorities.
LOL...It isn't at night that this guy comes to the dealership...It is between 10am to 2pm...We got it 3 times now and it was around that time...So it doesn't look suspious during he day...
screw dat! bring a gun. anyone that is willing to bust up a sube in order to get a deck deserves to be shot!
Tomyk89...com'on bud u know better whether your serious or not...We do not promote that kind of post/behavior here... Back to the topic...
how about just a cell phone, pen, and paper...lol Plus obviously theres a stakeout when 10+ subies are outside staking the joint
There must be a pretty pathetic surveilance system in place to not get a tag on these guys. Probably more that the dealer just doesn't care. No wonder I never go to the dealer.
if it was actual *new* Subaru Cars...I'm sure they will be all over it...on security and cameras... Customer Personal stuff...Not covered, their insurance are the ones that pay for their loss...So the dealership doesn't take any loss or responsibility...unfortunately that is how it works...
