Well, i'm gonna be down here for about 2-3 weeks. i'm here helping out my aunt at her coffee shop on the weekdays. but ont he weekends i'm practically free. Any of you guys been over here before? Anything to do down here? what's the cost of it? anyways here's some subies i've caught on camera while down here in seattle as well as bruce lee's gravesite.
I have never been there but I'm planning on taking my van there this summer to check out the Jimi Hendrix experience museum.
I haven't been there since I was like 10 so I can't really tell you anything useful lol from what I remember it was a pretty cool city
I love Seattle. F'in great town. Go to pike's market for sure. Then walk down to the docks and get some good clam chowder. If you ski/snowboard, bring that along. You're not too far from the mountains. I'd highly recommend checking out Vancouver (about a 3 hours drive). Vancouver is also a great town. I'd go to gastown and china town when in Vancouver. Also the Vancouver aquarium is pretty good. Also there should be basketball or hockey (if you go up to Vancouver) games being played, so there’s some options. Remember to bring your passport to get into Canada. If you’d rather drive south, Mt Hood would be a nice weekend trip. While out there, drink some Alaska Amber Ale. I love the stuff. Have fun out there.
Experience Music Project, take a ferry to Whidbey or Bainbridge Island, go to Vancouver BC, go up the Space Needle, check out the Seattle center, head to West Seattle and Alki Point, grab a burger at ****s in either Queen Anne or Lake City Way, Pikes Place Market, the Waterfront, the Museum of Flight, take a tour at the Boeing facility, check out the Navy base at Bremerton, drive on the Alaskan Way viaduct, tour Safeco and Qwest Field, check out Belltown/Queen Anne/Capitol Hill...Those are all that come to mind right now. I lived out there for a year and it's the greatest place on earth.
Damn swear filter. "Richards" is the best burger chain in Seattle. And is filthly anything like filthy?
I did a tour of a boomer sub, you might be able to catch one, Kinda cool, I think it's funny that they still protect the screw design so heavily.
LOL, I was told that also. I have friends in Oregon and Washington. The washington ones just don't get it.
Seattle is a blast. Good road trips = Vancouver (best tata bars in the world) and Bend, OR. If you're into mountain biking or hiking drive even further north to Whistler. There is even summer skiing on one of the Blackcomb glaciers (I *think*).
HAHAHAHAHA anyways, i Am going to go check out some of those places..i was gonna go to the music project today, but i decided to go check out bruce lee's gravesite...
WorldOne Performance is out there. Look them up on the internet and go hang out at their shop. One of the guys from CO did that and ended up drinking with the owner all night long. Good guys. It's funny: I spent one day in Seattle back in '98. I think I went to that same Barnes and Noble that you took the picture of that STi. Small world.
Yep. Weird. I was there for one day waiting for my flight to Korea and rented a car. I went up to the city but my hotel was down by the airport. I was killing time looking for a mall near SeaTac and stopped by there. As soon as I saw the facade and the way the parking lot was put together something clicked in my brain. That was just less than ten years ago.
