Have a question about insurance. I am just trying to get an idea of what other people are spending and with what company. Never been in any accidents and no tickets. 25 years of age. Please let me know. Thoughts on wether I should buy this car or not are highly appreciated. DISCUSS! :)

When I bought my new 2006 STI in late 2006, I was 26 y.o. and basic insurance was about $1200 for 6 months. Want the thrillz, get the billz, lol.

Call your insurance company and get a quote, that's there job, I have Allstate, muti-vehicle, I pay around 900 for six months, but I only drive my STi in the summer, so I take the insurance break in the winter time, helps keep cost down, and miles down. I just run the 93 t-leg in the winter.

Where do you live? St Paul WRX for me is 575 every 6. In Bloomington it would be under 400...

It's going to depend entirely on your situation... credit, mulitiline (do you own a house, do you carry renters insurance, do you have multiple cars), type and amount of coverage, amount of deductible, where you live, etc...

Ask your agent about their available discounts too. I get discounts for home-owners, multiline, multicar, direct withdrawal, and pre-pay. Those 5-10% discounts add up! Also, when cross shopping carriers, make sure you get a detailed quote and understand what all they cover. "comprehensive" covereage is not the same between all companies. Also, your agent has the ability to change the amount you are covered for(to pay for property damage, medical bills, etc...). This can effect your rates as well.

Anyway, I paid $70 a month for my sti through Farmers. Had all of the discounts mentioned above and carried a $500 deductible. I was over 25 but under 30 at the time (apparently my current carrier has an additional price break at 30 as well).
