It was laying on your windsheild? Or on your dash? Having it on your dash is no better than not having it at all.

Don't worry just make a appointment with the hearing officer (check your ticket there should be a number on the back) over at edina. I think that's where they handle everything.

Just make up a story (mine was "one of the screw for my front plate fell out and I am in the progress in replacing it") If this your first time they will drop your case. Good luck

Yes, why was your front plate on your dash and not on your front bumper?

Mo, your used car didn't come with screws from the dealership. You were going to buy screws for your new front plate the next morning, but got a ticket before you had the chance to. Huh... huh??? :D

Seriously though. Go fight it. It's not a moving violation so its a better chance they'll waive it this time.

Thank you all for all the advice and Yes I will go in Monday morning and tell them that I just got the car no more then a month ago, and the plates just came in recentally..and I found out that I was missing the front screws..But all I need is to know that yes it's possiable to fight it, thats a good thing becuase I will not pay no damn 112$ for not having the front plates on...that's BS...

They used to do that every month back in HS (Apple Valley), without school administrator intervention. They would roll through the lot on the 11th of every month and tag a lot of cars...

    Solution? Buy tabs!

IMHO the cops should need proof that the car is being driven after the tabs have expired. i don tthink the car sitting in a parking lot counts, they should have to get you in the car or driving the car.

if this happened at school i think that they shouldnt need a reason/proof that the tabs were exp. cuz it had to be driven to get to the place

By having the car in a parking lot, it is implied that the car is being driven.... I think there is some law about licensing a car, but I cannot recall the wording.

For the record, I think it is cheap that they do this.
