...probably for armed robbery, grand theft auto, breaking and entering, fleeing police officers, etc: Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione Of course, if someone has a spare 300k sitting around they'd be willing to loan me I could skip the Crowbar Hotel. Sorry for the crappy cell pic, I was driving by Morries Maserati yesterday and saw this from the frontage road. Probably the single most beautiful car I've seen in person. I couldn't really get a decent side shot of it from the outside, and the dealership was closed so this was all I could get. If you get the chance, go see this. I really, really wonder what the paint costs, because I would love to see it on my RS. For those of you who haven't read about it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alfa_Romeo_8C_Competizione http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/exotic/112_0710_2009_alfra_romeo_8c_competizione/index.html
I, too, have lusted after this car for a long long time. Nobody give me the chance, or I WILL kill for this car.
Back off. I've got hollowpoints with your name on them should you get between me and my Alfa The paint is even better looking in person
lol hollowpoints. NBT is where its at, y0. Can you say "1/4 mile?" Not with a handgun you can't!
I've seen you shoot, I'll take my chances  Besides, where are you going to get a 1/4 mile line of sight around here? You have a rooftop in mind?
I was talking with one of the Mazda/Maserati parts guys while I was delivering there one day, they had a warranty engine replacement for a Quattroporte IIRC. That was right around the 50k mark. That helps the monthly numbers.
That car is gorgeous. I have been bit by the alfa bug myself. Here is my recently acquired 1988 Milano Verde. (not nearly as amazing as the 8C but I picked it up for half a stack)
those guys at the Mas dealer have come a long ways... they are on the right track for selling exotics to our state! I got them their first maserati customer back when the first started. my bro's gf's dad had a coupe GT and i knew the guy at Mas who was the primary sales guy... my dad almost bought a QP back in 04 and my bro almost bought a coupe last yr as well, but we didn't in the end. their service was always awesome. i don't doubt my family will buy a car from them in the near future. Aj
Part cost on the V10 in the M5 is $49k. Moterwerks BMW had one chew itself up taking it off the truck.
beautiful car. Why dont you just tell them that they are your weekend garage, and go test drive it for an hour every saturday morning. Go get your coffee, chat up the gold diggers in town, and then drive back. Thats really all the car is good for anyways, its not like you can push a machine like that on our roads. Back to reality though: I assume they dont offer test drives without financing set up?
I have seen that car for the past few months driving down 394, and have always wondered if it was a Ferrari or a Alfa, as it is kind of hard to tell from a hundred yards or so away from teh side while going 60mph.
i too drool over this car everytime i drive on 394. The first time i saw it, i thought it was a shortened wheelbase ferrari. But after i looked at it more, i remember reading about it in my magazines and watching it on top gear. Absolutely beautiful car especially in person
Agreed. But I'd still drive it. Oh, so now you like it. Wonder how much it would weigh without the carbon fiber body.
That car is purely gorgeous no matter where you look at it. I don't know what some of you guys are on.
It's an Alfa. Their grille design will always make some people look the other way. Sounds like subaru...
wish I'd known it was there when I was in town. I've heard about it, seen the top gear about it, etc. and have not been impressed. looks like a supercar, but slightly uglier than comparable options from ferrari, aston, maserati, etc. pretty low on my list.... but, then again, maybe the camera doesn't like it.
Brian is right. The car really must be seen in person. It is breath-taking and I, like many of you all, have seen an exotic or two. It is almost as though every design element decision went the "right" way. Wheels, stitching, vent controls, exhaust tip diameter...all of it perfect. Just my opinion, though... The color is also one of those that seems to be very difficult to capture with a camera.
I have to admit, I stopped in there a few days ago and I'd be hard pressed to choose between that and the dark gray Aston Martin DBS sitting next to it. That Aston is just as sexy in its own right.
The Aston is one sexy car, I don't think I could pass it up for an Alfa. The again my boss just ordered the new GT3 and I have to say I would pass up both the Aston and the Alfa for the beast that is the GT3. It has motor mounts that you can stiffen up for track use with a switch on the dash :eek3:
If that was taken from outside the building thats a pretty good camera cause you cant see reflection from the window or anything.
I first read this as the CAR being outside. I was going to go take inappropriate pictures of it if that were the case.
I see but it still looks like its taken in the building. I always wanted to go inside i just drove around the lot but never inside.
