Crazy stuff, I just figured out why the story was so haunting to me. .. A few days before this happened I watched a Korean movie called "H" anyone seen it? It basically opens with a girl who gets her stomach cut open on a bus, the movie was pretty bad but the images are what made it so scary I guess...

    WTF

I thought that was quite strange that he beheaded the guy and showed it to the passengers outside of the bus.

Then, to find a plastic bag with human body parts, and have him start eating parts of the guy he murdered.

    Serious issues with this guy

I dunno, I thought this one was haunting enough without even seeing that movie. I can't even imagine what the passengers and LE/Rescue personnel at the scene went through.

The guy has mental issues. Just because he eats body parts and says he wants to stay on the bus forever doesn't mean he's being taken over by Satan though! What's weird about it is that he never showed any signs of emotional anger or anything.

I'm guessing they were trying to figure out what to do as well. The guy was contained, he wasn't a lethal threat anymore and if I were the first guy on scene the only way I'm confronting someone holding a knife and a severed head is by sending him two .45 rounds at 850fps. It was better to wait and try and draw the guy out peacefully. Killing him wasn't going to solve anything. If it'd been an active hostage situation where the victim was still alive, then by all means perforate the bastard.

    uhhhhh, bad taste, bad taste...

1,000 miles away or not, it was in bad taste.

Not knocking law enforcment... but, you think they should have apprehended the perp sooner? I mean if this happened in America Mr. Li would have been ridled with holes.... some cop would gladly empty a clip in that guy.

I should have put a foot note on there that it was satire and should be taken lightly. Maybe mounties are too friendly, cause this dude deserved a bunch of holes and then a body bag,

    .....not a court date.:roll::roll::roll::(

The suspect was apprehended and the victim was clearly already dead. I'm sure the first arriving cop didn't feel like risking his life for really no reason at all...

You must've missed my previous post. If it had been an active hostage situation or the victim was still alive, then he'd have been brought down in the time it took for the hollowpoint to travel from the barrel to the body. If the guy is obviously dead, the bad guy is contained and not a threat, then why not try to take him alive? As far as I'm concerned they did their job very well in an unusual situation.

What do you mean, apprehended him sooner? What were they supposed to do, magically appear as soon as he pulled out the knife? And I think you'd be wrong about an American cop "gladly emptying a clip" into him. They're not bloodthirsty killers out for vengeance.

I guess, I must be held acountable for my words and slandering and such.

    This is a public apology,

    I'm sorry.

your right, an American cop would have prolly done the same thing as the mounties did, and they had handled it well.

I thought the dialogue was funny, but the parting shot at cops was what got me peeved. I've got a pretty bad case of gallows humor at times. It's a coping mechanism.

So you'd have stepped in against a guy in an obvious mental state hacking a guy to pieces? Yeah, that's what I thought. From the reports I read, the victim was fatally stabbed within the first couple of blows, and the guy was already starting to decaptate him by the time the bus driver got the bus stopped. I'd have done the same thing. You save who you can save and you leave who you can't. Think risk vs reward. What's the reward for getting cut/stabbed for someone who's already dead? There isn't one. Not to mention the fact that a situation as surreal as that is going to put most people into a state of shock. You just don't see something like that everyday, and for the majority of people it's something beyond comprehension. It takes a little bit of time for that to sink in.

I think we can be glad it was just the one victim. Sucks for the family, but it could've turned out a lot worse.

Yea, I can honestly say that I would. Power in numbers. It only takes one person and others will follow. Simple as that.
