    Hey all,

I have a skid plate waiting to go on, and I need the hardware, as it did not come with any.

    2002 WRX wagon.

What size do I need? I tried about 5 bolts I had in my garage, and the thread was too coarse. Is it fine thread?

    Thanks!

What vehicle? And are you looking for the stock mounting bolts ?

    Crap, sorry.

Edited first post. Yes, the stock ones should be fine.

They are a 8mm X 1.25mm Bolt and they are not very long. 18mm maybe

Not 8 x 1.25, cause they did not fit.

Once I find the right size, I'll post up.

Almost every larger bolt on the car seems to have a thread pitch of 1.25. Was 8mm not the right diameter or was the thread pitch off?

    It's an 8, just not a 1.25.

I think it's the more common 1mm thread.

1.00 would be a fine pitch, but may be the case. Auto makers prefer using finer pitches when possible. 7 Corners has a pretty good selection. You can probably get an M8 1.00 there.

The Ace up the street has a HUGE selection of stuff, and they have the stainless in a M8x1. I should have grabbed them.
