This weekend was a bad weekend for tickets. I got pulled over Friday morning on my way to work for speeding, some fuzzy details involved there, but I'll sound off somwehere else about that, then I get pulled over Friday night on my way to Missouri (still in MN when I got pulled over) for my tint being too dark. I got a warning. So I'm driving back to MN today through Iowa, and a trooper pulls me over for my tint. I told him I just got a warning in MN, and he goes back to his car and writes me a ticket anyway! He explained that he is honoring MN laws, and tells me to get it taken care of. Can they make me pay the state of Iowa $70 for violating MN laws in Iowa? Of course its not worth it to go to court in Iowa and fight it, I might get another ticket for my tint, any other ideas?

I'm sure he cited you using Iowa's code. Perfectly legal and nothing says he needs to warn you.

    My experience with tint:
Girlfreind was driving my car (that wont happen again:ugh: ) speeding, got pulled over, got a warning for speeding and a fix it ticket for the tint, but he didn't have a tint meter, so we had to have it tested by a state boy...
...state boy couldn't figure out how to use the meter, so he just gave me the ok.
That was the only time I'd ever had anything said to me about the tint, but then, I stay pretty low-key ;)
I'm toying with taking the tint off, just because it makes backing up at night a PITA.
