i was looking around, and i noticed the record for most users online at one time was 121, over 2 yrs ago, and we have 2324 registered users. time to set a new record in my opinion. maybe a moderator could set up a poll for a 4 windows of time that people can vote when they are normally on, and then we can vote on a day of the week, and eventually have a mass of users on at once? as long as we dont crash the site by doing so... who is in? and should this be moved to event discussion?
haha, threads come up identical to this discussing this from time to time.. ive read a few and usually alot of people tend to forget or back down..or hand raise. but i like you idea, a much better concept.
The problem with this is most users are set to "hide their online status" because they're afraid of being ridiculed. You know who you are.
uhm its just a matter of the admin clearing the record, and it starting over again.. and i don't think vb has an option to just "reset most users ever online" like phpbb does, so it might involve database editing ... which might not be worth it.
Precisely this. And you can check this yourself right now, http://www.mnsubaru.com/forums/online.php. That shows who and how many users/guests are connected currently. Right now the spider load is light. But at certain times of the day, spiders can outnumber actual registered users 2 to 1. I've seen alot on here at once, but I am positive the number never topped 100.
It's just like getting ones post count up, remember more of anything is always better and makes others inferior......... no offense to the op, that's just how some people read it. If we were all on at once for something productive that would be great but to do it just for a number is, postwhorish. There I said it, what do I know I like sock puppets.
