I am trying to locate some rs 6 spokes. My question is what size tires do you run on 16s? I want pretty much the widest you can go without rubbing or rolling the fenders. But i dont want it to look rediculous. I was thinking 215/50. Also what tires do you recommend for summer grip with good rain traction as well?

The Kumho Ecsta SPT tires have been rated and tested by Tirerack to beat even the Yoko ES100s for all around performance. It does very well on a wet track so it should do very well on a wet street. But I don't think it's offered on your chosen 215/50 tire size.

I know somebody running 225/50-16 on their 16"x7" 5 spoke goldies without any apparent trouble. They do have camber plates up front, but nothing in the rear. This size will also keep your speedo accurate.

You should have no problem running 225mm wide tires.

For tires, I've had my eye on the Eagle F1s. Part of it will come down to what you're willing to spend too. A couple well-liked more affordable options would be Hankook's RS-2 or Falken's 452 are under $90 a piece and offer very good performance. From what I've come across, those two seem to be about the best, cheap sticky + rain capable tires you can get. You may want to look at the Proxes4 or even the Ziex 512. It comes down to a matter of what kind of balance you're looking for.

I have the Prox3s4 currently, a very nice tire. About the only thing more I'm looking out of them is a little more dry grip. I might try something else after they wear out. So far, this is the end of summer 2 on them, and they will do plenty fine for at least another one. I may have to find a track somewhere and just burn them down so I can buy something new, lol.

If money is no object and wet isn't tremendously important, Bridgestone's RE-01R is basically the kind. BF-Goodrich's T/A KD are very sticky. Moving to another very trackable tire, you have Falken's Azien's RT615, a very well liked autox tire, but less rain worthy. These seem to be some of the stickiest options available short of a R compound. I'm sure there's others too.

Your choice really depends on what you're willing to spend and exactly what you want out of them, not just traction but things like wear and noise too. Mull around Tire Rack for a while, read a ton of user comments and TR's test results. Hop over to Nasioc and hit up the search button and find as much info as you can. A few key gems should start to stick out at you.

Kumho Ecsta ASX all-season tires in a size 225/50-16 rubbed on my old MY00 Impreza RS with a suspension setup of Eibach Sport springs and KYB GR2 struts.

I have heard that some tires in this exact size doesn't rub due to the structure of the tires.

as far as fitment is concerned. Here's a tire size calculator (at the bottom of the page)
    http://subarubrat.com/Calc.htm

punch in your current tire size to find the outer diameter of it. then punch find a tire on a 16" wheel, with similar width, and the same outer diameter.

for example, my 185/70R13s calculate to be 23.2" in diameter. and I'm looking to probably get some 205/40R17s after 5-lug conversion, which calculate to 23.5". now that's a pretty big difference in width, but there's a bunch of extra space in there, and I'm not afraid of a little fender rolling.

I have Stock suspension. I would like to be around $100 a tire. I want them to be sticky because the re92s i have on right now loose grip like none other. Tire wear im not too worried about. Lets say 3 summers at least. I went to discount tire yesterday but i couldnt deciede on anything. I need to find 16" rims first too.
