    this might be up here already, and yes i know its "winter" but what is the widest you can go on the stis for tread. i was thinking about going with a 255/40 series but can you go wider without a rubbing issue. stock suspension, 04 by the way

    aka - roll and pull the rears and they may fit if you have a wide enough rim.

    Obviously your wheel offset is going to play a huge part in how it fits. 255 is really pushing it. Also, that guy's running stiffer springs/struts which is going to help keep the tire from rubbing the strut.

    It's hard to say yes/no or what is needed without really looking at the suspension and the offset of the rim as well. Even the specific tire make can be slightly wider/narrower or roll off less/more.
