For the price, you're better off getting an FMIC. The gains will be minimal.

just thought maybe since the tubing is slightly more simplified / the air to engine length being shorter...might make a little more power.

are there fm's out there that will not only let me retain my stock fogs, but my spt intake?

yes-turbo xs for sure, also the ebay ssac autocrome $400 fmic, it is a direct replica of the turbo xs, you keep the fogs!- it also has the same support bracket as turbo xs included

Yep, I'm using the TXS FMIC and I have JDM foglights. The stock foglights work as well.

Shorter intercooler piping wont make more power, it will just shorten the amount of volume that must be precharged. If you are thinking about going with a 20G you shouldn't be all that laggy really. If you are going to wait for the turbo for a while, you could probably catch a ride in 6Mtizzle's car next spring when he brings it out of storage. He is running a 20G with a Perrin FMIC.
