thinking about what i might do when the 2015's start hitting the dealership. really kind of hate to part with my 2010 STI hatch. it only has 31k on it and has been my favorite car of all time. IMG_1174.jpg IMG_1345.jpg IMG_1346.jpg

Why would you want to trade it in if it is your favorite car?

That statement in itself makes no sense to me. I love hatches and I am particularly jealous that you have a beautiful STI. I am kicking myself for not getting a hatch...

I vote keep the car you have. I am not a fan of the 2015 model.

I'm calling BS on that picture being current. Something looks off in that photo.

I think it really depends on what you want out of your car.

In my opinion, here is what you will gain with the 2015:
-better interior (how much better is debatable)
-better handling (according to the reviews of the 15 WRX and assumptions for the 15 STI)
-new car with a factory warranty
-more power? twin scroll turbo?...these are assumptions and I'm not sure if they are accurate

Here's what I think you'll be giving up if you get rid of your 2010 STI:
    -hatch space
    -money "invested" into mods
-money lost of purchase of car

Personally, I would only seriously consider the new STI if it has significantly better handling.

2015 STI will have the same motor you have now.
    NO HATCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Handling improvements TBD.
I don't think the gains for the 2015 will out weigh your loses with the current ride.
if you decide to trade give me a call :)

What if the 2015 STI would be his NEW favorite of all time?!?

I think you should go for the new one! But don't trade your current one in, sell it private party unless you enjoy throwing money into the dealership's pocket.
If I could have waited a few months I probably would have gotten a new 2015.
The weight balance should be much better so not so nose heavy and as I have said before I think they look nice. So shoot me!

    DOOOOOO IT!!!!!!

ya i guess right now i'm leaning towards keeping this one. keep it in a heated garage and usually get it out at least every other day. with the few mods it has and the kick ass tune Nuke gave it a couple years ago i really like the gobs of torque it seems to have. mileage stays pretty much in the mid 20's and doesn't use a drop of oil. the MXP catback exhaust has a nice aggressive sound.

I like the look of the white rims on the blue! It pops without being obnoxious.

I've got a good solution - buy the new one AND keep the old one!
