I know its ok to have a marginal amount but is this too much...it has about a tablespoon adn a half of oil sitting in the turbo, ic hoses...
You should look at getting a catch can. you can make them pretty cheap or just buy one. i think it was Rich who had like 1.5qts of oil in his FMIC.
Keep in mind that having a catch can doesn't put the oil back into the system, so you will still need to watch the oil levels. But what is sitting in your turbo looks normal.
well obviously (i've used them before on other cars), i was more concerned about filling my ic with oil
no, more like saying that because you must have something wrong with it beings theres that much oil in the i/c and turbo... Yes, i'm sooo badass because my car doesnt burn oil like yours i guess... on a more serious note... I was just giving the input on my car, saying mines never had more than a drop of oil, so look back to what i first said...you must have something wrong...
no, it's blowby, it recirculates into the intake and the throttle body. totally normal. if you do a catchcan, make sure it has large enough hoses. the perrin one is too small and the pressure backup is ugly.
^^That. I've been reluctant to mention that with all the Perrin cans floating around lately. But yes, the Perrin lines are too restrictive.
anyone look at the crawford cans yet?? They send the oil back into the motor so you don't have to refill all the time, search nasioc and there are 4867867 threads on how well they work.
