yes it does, it causes the turbo to work harder than usual and heat up alot more than usual. WRC cars that uses it goes through turbos like nothing. it probably has an on and off switch where they use it for racing and off for eveyr day.
^it does have a off switch. its next to the knob he likes. its an ALS switch (antilag system). here a thought. prodrive doesnt want to mas produce it, but subaru (one its biggest customers) is looking for a new design for their chassis soon. since the impreza is to be redisnged in 07/08 or something i bet they yoink the P2 stylin! just think of the options!
