    05 automatic outback sport
issue: Shifting a little rough up and down. acts a little like a slipping clutch on a manual

it's been gradually getting worse over the last couple of months and is more noticeable in stop and go.

I've read somewhere online that 1. subaru's autos like new fluid (mine was changed 27,000 miles ago) 2. there was some kind of servo/switch/valve/electronic thing in the transmission that had a habit of getting clogged.

any subaru experts know what these symptoms might mean and how i could go about fixing it without having to swap transmissions.

Could be a possible torque converter issue, but I'll wait for the Subaru wrenches to weigh in.

Well I'll find out if fresh filters (inner and outer) and fresh fluid fixes up the issue before i decide to buy a new torque converter. Is there anything else I should take a look at while i have the pan dropped in a week or so? (besides looking for metal flake/shavings, etc.)
