thought this was pretty cool and we could all use it. basically users of the system text in where cops are hiding and then, using gps, once you get near that area it sends you a text telling you to slow down. i havent tried it yet because i'm a noob cellphone user. http://www.trapster.com/rl/Trapster.php
Just what we need...people who are speeding sending and receiving text messages:roll: Cool in it's own way though. Here in WI, you'd better have unlimeted text at a set fee...cops are thicker then mosquitos in june.
I just saw this over on the PPCGeeks forum and downloaded the version for my Mogul. The application can apparently use the GPS built into my phone to warn me automatically only when I'm coming up on a speed trap. I'd rather it had an overlay for Google Maps so that I could just leave that running on the dash and glance over when needed. Anyone try the Windows Mobile version yet with a GPS-enabled phone? I'm still waiting to hear on the other forum about its success with the Mogul. BTW this app may get incorporated into Navizon which is essentially hand-free war-driving for GPS- and WiFi-enabled phones.
