might be there to shoot more pics. really wish I had a car that I could use. oh well, it's my fault for lowering the STi
Find a $500 econobox from the early 90s. Civics have gotten too popular and so cost more than they're worth, but pretty much any other cheap car from that era can be fun and competitive (because they're light and you can beat the crap out of them without caring). VW Golf, Nissan Sentra, Toyota Paseo or Corolla, Ford Escort, etc, etc. Small, light and disposable.
Cost money to watch? I would love to participate, but the car is in need of some work first. I would still like to watch you guys having some fun. Are ride alongs permitted Mark? Also, what time are you planning on taking off?
No charge to come and watch. You will need to sign a waiver, but there is no fee. Ride alongs are allowed at this event, (unlike the last, which was a Divisional). I dunno exactly when I'll be leaving. Depending on how much I get the car ready tonight and how much sleep I get (last night between sick toddler and the storm I got damn little).
About how long of a drive is it? And do I want to be there at 9:30 or 11? If I was needed, I would try to help out with set up earlier. If not, then I would probably show up at 10:30 or 11.
From BP, I'd guess about 2 hrs. But you should check the map link on the first post and make sure you know where you're going. I've managed to get lost on the way there this summer and I've been driving there for 5 years now.
A great time was had by all the attended. The weather was beautiful and we used a new field that was pretty smooth. Thanks to Eric Dahl, who drove out the day before, we had a nice flowing course that held up well.
