ok, i'm pretty sure i'm going to go with a 20g from deadbolt.
    oil and water cooled.

    i'm torn between the td05 20g and the td06 20g....
i will never drag, and the bulk of my DAILY driving is highway 394 stop and go..

for injectors i'm deeply considering the perrin mod on a set of stockers... i gather russ is a possable source for getting these done...
that would rock my world not having to get a set of $700 850's

i would like to stay, al least try to stay, with the stock tmic... maybe running water injection if i have to...

any coments, opinins and or thoughts on set up?

Not worth your time or money. Either get the FP green or the superzilla, same spoolup, double the power potential.

FullThrottle's Garret GT10 will spool faster than teh 20G and is capable of 400hp. If you aren't looking to drag race, this might be your ticket...streetability with a quick spool and nice overall gains.

I say TD06 20g, as that's what's in my DSM.. With either wheel, there's going to be considerable lag. TD05 just isn't worth it in my opinion, if you're going to have **** near the same lag; might as well have the turbo at lower pressure and same flow. Then, you can always just turn up the boost, instead of having to go out and buy another turbo.

As far as injectors, I'm using FIC 750ccs with a walboro high pressure 255lp/h. My max injector duty cycle is 88%. So you will probably need some Denso 660ccs and a fuel pump. Or 550s/pump/water injected.

Well, I don't do the sti injectors, just the wrx injectors. I would also do the perrrin injectors. I have tuned a car with them and it is pretty easy. Just a little messing around with the injector scalling and away we went. i would also look into a perrin big maf depending on what turbo you go with.

One nice thing about the Deadbolt turbo's compared to the Garret / Slowboy turbo's is Deadbolt turbo's come with life time free rebuilds, all the gaskets, oil lines ect. All the other turbo companys charge extra for these parts and it adds up QUICK and your paying a ton more. I say go with the td06 20g with the Perrin injectors:)

yeah erik, that's a huge reson i'm about to pull the trigger with deadbolt.

i tried getting a used sr40 then a used sr50, but the deals kept falling through... i figured if i am going to go with a new unit it should be super **** easy to install, everything in one box, and have a pretty solid warranty...

but these gt based spinners look pretty interesting.

    i'll admit i'm thrown for a loop. :)

Keeping the stock STI top mount with any of these turbos seems like a waste. Your engine would breathe SOOOO much better with a quality TMIC or FMIC.

Helix makes a nice big tmic for cheap. Perrin and APS also make tmic's, but there alittle more spendy. Ide stay away from the fin design i/c's, bar and plate is where its at:)

Awsome! Did you get an safc too, or what are you going to get for fuel control? It'll be interesting to see how much difference your extra .5 liter will have on me.. Bet I could hold higher boost though.

    thanks, i'm excited..
i'm selling off some camera gear right now. if all goes well i will be able to get the helix tmic.... if everything goes really well i may get the perrin one.

erik, when are you doing your install?

i missed out on the injectors, but I need to help you with your SZ that so i have a clue on how to do my own. :D
and i loaded up that map i stole from you on friday... thank you again..
holy christ it's smooth... props to matt it's very agressive and linear now..
i had to go back to the base stage 2 boost gain as i was hitting fuel cut in 4th by 3k...
i will have to pull down on the boost map too, i'm creeping to 20 now at partial throttle in 5th.. i don't think i want to blow something BEFORE dyno day. :D
