I have been thinking about getting a new inlet hose for my 02 wrx. I am just wondering if any gains or losses happen with this swap. Also would there be other mods needed if i make the swap. All info would be really great.

I noticed a bit better throttle response.

Tom, which inlet hose do you have? I'd love to have a samco, but they're way too expensive for a hose. IMAO

I had a Perrin one on my old '04 and am running the stocker on my '06. If I were to ever get another inlet, it would probably be a used Samco -- my Perrin (and a few others I've helped put on) fit like garbage (like most other Perrin ****).

If I were in the market to try out a new hose, I'd maybe check out the ones ImportImage are selling -- dirt cheap and don't look any worse then the Perrin from a quality standpoint. Visually, they look like a better product than the ebay ones also in terms of durability.
