Was looking at turbo inlets for my vf39 swap. I was going to go with a silicone one but I also have heard alot about the aps one. Any opinions?

i was reading a thread today that compared the silicone ones and the aps one and basically it said the ID of the silcone ones actually come to a smaller point at the neck then the stock one does. I guess APS is the way to go even though you HAVE to remove the IM.

all silicone ones blow. the aps one is the way to go. i believe there is a knock off aps one out there now too but i forgot what the brand was. imo, just buy the knock off since all it is is just a aluminum tube with some NIPPLES.

You also need to remember that with the aps one that you need to remove the tgv sensors and motors. I guess the silicon one is ok, I would go with the avo hose. The house goes all the way from the stock box to the turbo and it BARELY fits under the manifold.

I had a Perrin one on my old car and I noticed a bit better throttle response with it.

However, the fitment of it was on the borderline of what I'd consider to be garbage. And I'm pretty sure it wasn't just a random manufacturing flaw since w_o_t_boy's Perrin hose fit just as bad. Between that and the Perrin IC hoses I had, I'll more than likely never buy one of their products again.

I have installed a few APS inlets on the ej20's and ej25's and the fitment is A+ and you don't have to remove the TGV's
My vote goes for the APS

You only have to move the FPR on the EJ25's, and the kit will come with the stuff to relocate it

Dumb question but is the fuel pressure reg in the same general location or is it in a totally different location?

well on the ej20 it is one the right hand side fuel rail, on the ej25 it is under the factory turbo inlet, by its self.
