has anybody installed the turboxs fmic on their 04-05 sti? i was looking at some pics of other people's install and it looked like they had to do a lot of cutting, not only to where the core would sit, but also to the bumper where some charge pipes hit (a cut just below the right fog light cover). now, i was wondering if anybody had additional pics or was it jus that one guys messed up the install a bit. thanks

Jason has the V1 FMIC with the hyperflow core, the new ones are horrible. Also, with any FMIC your gonna have to hack the front bumper for the core to fit, ill try to take pics of my front end tonight so you can get an idea how much your gonna have to cut.
Wrong, I have the V2 without the hyperflow core. The new one is fine. THe top mounts are ****, but the FMIC core is fine. The welds on mine look fine. And fitment is perfect if you follow the instructions. I believe they fixed the bumper clearance issues. The two tubes that mate up to the core stuck out too far and the bumper had to be cut to accomodate them. I believe this has been addressed. Mine did require some trimming of the bumper.
oopps, I knew you had the hyperflow core. The first fmic I got from them looked just liked Aaron's tmic, then they sent me another one and its wasnt as bad but I had already decided to get the Perrin. They may have changed them now though.
