saw the new nose styles in person yesterday.
i thought i was going to have a gag reflex, but they are ok.
the fog covers are flat... at least on the non turbo units... so, no ghetto brake duct cooling unless you buy the fog surrounds.

the new style makes the nose seem more open where the fmic would sit, but when i stick my hand in there, it felt exactly the same.

Bloomington was supposed to be recieving a black WRX today or tomorrow. My STI is WR blue with gold paws. Gotta see how many beer cans I can fit on the wing though. Should be able to fit an extra 6-er on the little diffuser wing. ;o)

What's on Friday? The GF and I are going adventuring, give me a local and we'll stop by. Gonna be out in Shakopee all day Saturday so I can't stop by the car show but thanks for the ticket offer.

The fog covers were the main thing that everyone noticed, the fact that they are flush to the bumper makes them look kinda cheap. They did add a nice brake duct on the side of the bumper. Could be they were thinking the ducted fog covers were making things look too busy on the front. Meh, it's still an STi so I'm not gonna whine too much.

Where is Firestone on University?

I could just drive from Mpls to the capitol and back a couple times, I'm sure I'll notice a pride of Subys congregating around a waterhole waiting for an Evo or a Prosche to run down.

 

It would be very cool to go to mods and rods but I have a gig in Shakopee all day Saturday. I'll stop by Firestone sometime after 8:00.

i went and saw 06' tonight and i like it more then the 05's

 

gig in SHakopee... drop by my store and show me your car... next to cub foods

 

i stopped at brooklyn park tonight and looked at the black/gold one they have and im not really sure i am too impressed, i liked it a lot in the pictures but in person it looks kinda blah, the front end is not nearly as agressive as the 04-05 the 06 reminds me of a saturn or pontiac or somthin, not sayin its bad i was just kinda let down from the pics i saw and then seeing it in person, and they had ugly ass gold badging on it.

Gotta admit it is growing on me. Once a couple of different noses come out for it I am sure it will be fine. dont really mind the roof wing too much but besides that I gotta say it has its characteristics.

I would say "bring it!" but I have a feeling you've got something under the hood that would scare my grandma so I'll pass.

 

I just got back from Morrie's BKP Subaru, went there to pickup a new headlight for my Forester. Got there and Charlie the GM was BBQ'ing, I asked him if they were having any sales? He asked me what I was looking for and I said and STI. He said he will give me a amazing price today. One of the Sales rep, Preston Cunningham, let me test drive the only 06 Black STI show room model. And would sell it to me at Invoice price. I walked away from the deal cause I wanted a Gray one, and wanted to do more research on the differences between an 05 and 06 other than the new body panels.

So if anyone is looking for a new car, I highly recommend checking them out. And Brian Short Parts dept. was great.
