On my way home at about 6:00pm on 35w north to pick up paint ball gun to go paintballing, old school trans am was tailgating me for a long time.. so i sped up... he speeds up, next thing you know i'm going 120 mph and i see him way back behind me... few mins later around where 494 and 35w meets, again, he tailgates me :(! i'm in the far right lane and switch over to the far left lane at around 100mph then back over to the far right lane then back to the middle so fast that the trans am tried doing what i did but when he tried switching back into the middle lane where i was at, dude lost control and BOOM!! hit the wall and all i saw in my rear view mirror was SMOKE!! i did not go back however, but i just felt really sad for the guy  just thought you guys might like to know what happend...1 hr before that happend i got into a little accident my self.. i was getting ready to ride my in-laws pocket bike which goes about 35-40 mph.. when i hopped on i thought i would handle great cuz it's a small bike and thought it could take corners like a subie :D but i was wrong.. hopped on the bike, took off so fast that i thought i was gonna turn onto a bridge going 20 mph that goes over a little stream but i couldn't cut the corner right away so i hopped a rock and SPLASH! :( right into the little stream along with the little pocket bike:mad: i was all wet and dirty, didn't get hurt but........ Sh*t happens. I don't like tailgaters myself. When you're already behind another car, being tailgated won't make the car in front move any faster. Ya' know?

sounds sort of like an incident that i was involved in last fall..there was this punk kid in my town with an integra, 3rd gen totally riced out, he didnt even have his license, i get next to him at a stoplight, he looks over, starts laughing, and shaking his head, light turns green, we take off, i didnt try at first, but he did, spinning and smoking like crazy, i hammer it, and get by him, where the two lanes merge. im in front and let off, hes tailgating me like crazy probably inches from me, then it starts to get curvy, so i push it, but not too hard, through the dorners, he loses it on a 90* and spins into the ditch, hits a few bushes, i kept going, cops show up, he gets a careless driving ticket, and cant get his license till hes 18. i later hear from my brother that hes telling everyone "some red civic ran me off the road, after i beat him" WTF! oh well he got what was coming to him

Going 100mph+ on public roads? You are both idiots. Not that it's right to tailgate anyone, but that does not give you license to go tooling around at those speeds. Frankly you are both fortunate that you did not end up as grease spots on the road. 6 PM on 35W, I'm betting there were other people on the road, who you were both endangering. For shame.

Don't even try the "well I bet you've gone way over the limit" response with me either.

name calling probably wont make him think of other drivers.... "that wasnt a very smart thing to do" would have worked better, nobody needs to be insulted even when they do the dumbest of things....

the red civic ran him off the road. you would think that if he was that close he could have read IMPREZA and SUBARU off of the trunk.

You might be right, but I'm afraid I can't tiptoe around the fact that from what I read, it was a bunch of outrageously poor decisions by all parties involved.

Just because he drives a Subaru and I drive a Subaru is not going to insulate him from criticism I think he deserves. What else can you really expect posting something like that?

I should say that I am glad ImprezaWrx9 was not hurt, but just keep it safe out there. It's no fun being harrassed by other people on the road, I can sympathize with that. If worse comes to worse, just get off the road and let yourself cool off a little...hopefully the person will not follow you.

You're right zola :).. and i really can't say anything about your criticism's but pretty much i really don't care, that's your opinion. And i was thinking of others, i wouldn't of done what i've done if i didn't know what i was doin. i'm not a stupid driver.it's those cautious ass drivers (my gf) who get's into accidents and cause accidents in my opinion. I hate those kinds of drivers.

oh wells, many people would've tried to get him off their tail if they were tailgated. Good thing is that you're safe and the dude now knows not to tailgate people.
