For you hockey fans out there. Any predictions as to who will emerge victorious? How will proceed to the WCHA final 5? I'm gonna 3-2 MSU in OT. Not a Mavs fan but i think they have the edge.
Oh it's not Kangas I am worried about, he has been outstanding. But it's just the same as the first game of the series, he can only stop so much with the lackluster D of the gophs. Ugh
2-1 Gophs... Janet says 2-0 MSU. Either way these guys have got to be getting tired. They've already almost played 3 games worth counting OT!
Yea... I talked to kangas last night and he had an IV goin. And he had already drank 3 big bottles of gatorade.
1 to 1 in the second period!!! Well on our way to a third straight overtime game... Ninja Edit: GOOOOOAAAALLLL!!!!!! Gophs up 2-1 as I was typing this!!! "Minnesota, hats off to thee..."
WOW!!! Great game! Both teams deserved it... Amazing how much the officials let a lot of physical play go. Don't see that kind of hockey in the NHL. There would have been like 20 penalties called... Something like 4 1/2 games worth of periods played in 3 official games! :eek3: Gophers win!
Yeah... Both teams had TONS of chances! The battle of the inept goal scoring squads. We'll see how they do next weekend...
Great game. Update on Pohl: http://www.startribune.com/sports/16749081.html http://www.kare11.com/news/news_article.aspx?storyid=501827 "Minnesota hockey player Tom Pohl is in fair condition Monday at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester after being hurt in Sunday's game in Mankato. The University of Minnesota says Pohl's head hit the boards in the second period against Minnesota State, Mankato. The injury resulted in bleeding on the brain. He was flown from Mankato to St. Marys Hospital, where surgery stopped the bleeding and stabilized the fracture. He remains in the hospital for further observation. Coach Dan Lucia is in Rochester. He says the team's thoughts and prayers are with Pohl and his family. Minnesota State, Mankato, forward Jason Wiley was ejected for an elbow to Pohl's head on the play the resulted in the Minnesota senior's injury. Minnesota won the WCHA playoff game 3-2 in double overtime to advance to the WCHA Final five, which begins Thursday in St. Paul."
