I had a 04 Civic Si for few months right before getting the 08 WRX. They are great cars. Things I liked were:

The shifter - quircky but nice positioning
K20a3 is so smooth for a 4 cylinder
Steering - exact same as the S2000
Handling - the best handling FWD i have owned
Seats are superb - tons better than wrx seats
Excellent stability at high speeds - I went upto 126mph and had no worry driving that fast

    Things I didnt like:
Acceleration was slow for an Si
Motor revs too high at 70mph but smooth nonetheless
No Vtec in it's true form. Vtec is used for gas mileage in this car.

I used to get 26mpg mixed driving in that car and I don't drive slow. I would say great choice on a great car, you will like it. Congrats!

That's because it is. My '95 GSR weighed around 2650 lbs.

Then it ended up weighing nothing after it got stolen.

Could that be the gross vehicle weight?

Cool car. Hope you keep your comprehensive insurance deductible nice and low, just in case.

theft on these cars are pretty much like most nonhondas. the motor is a REALLY slow base rsx motor. and it has theft protection on the ecu from what ive herd. if someone tries to steal it the ecu shuts down.

whats the differece between gross weight and curb weight?

Gross Vehicle Weight is the total weight of the loaded vehicle. This includes the vehicle itself and the cargo that is loaded within that vehicle.
Curb Weight is the actual weight of the vehicle without any passengers or cargo in it. It’s the base weight that is used in subtraction to calculate the total weight of the vehicle with passengers and cargo.

My nephew had an EP civic. Same color as yours except for he lowered it and put on a CF type-r spoiler knockoff. That thing looked sexy as hell. A lot of people complain about the shifter being positioned in the upper middle but I like it :)

yeah that was me! nice car btw. i was wondering if you were a MNsuby member. its easy to spot me cuz its rare to see a EP3 hatch and blue is an even harder color to find.

i like that too. its easy to hang a bag from for throwing away garbage lol. and its right next to the wheel so its less distance for me to take my hands off the wheel. i really stopped noticing that it was any different after a couple miles of driving.
