what does it matter what order it goes in??? It all goes in the same spot, all goes around the same gears... I would think it does not matter.
Not all of it goes in, so the one that goes in last, you use less of. That's the Synchromesh, so you can put the others in in any order, but you put in the Syncromesh last.
according to the link above it says the castro is last. synchro is second also per this list http://www.mnsubaru.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19125
Yeah, that's right. What I wrote was wrong. It's been a long time since I did mine. The reason is still the same though
didnt we do the scotties mix on your car Taras the first time you came to my shop about 8 mths ago...
So i put the cocktail in and now its overfilled like half an inch on a dip stick. How bad is this. Should i drain a bit or just leave it. How bad would it be to drive for a bit like this?
^^ yep.... and people say it holds 3.9 QUARTS or is it 4.9 but in actual fact its a little less then that... just pull the plug out enough to get some fluid running.. don't entirely remove it.. unthread it untill it start weeping out then hold a little pressure against the plug whilst undoing it.. allow some small maount to drain then re-install plug.. recheck levels.. repeat.. it wont take much draining to bring that level down.. I am sure its about 1/3 of a quart high
I just put the cocktail in my car too. It does not feel any different then the mobile 1 I had in before, or the amsoil I had before that.
It didn't make a huge difference for me right away. It did however start to make a difference a few thousand miles down the road.
Shifts are way smoother now and the fifth gear does not grind anymore at all. My tranny used to stick a little when I first start the at in the morning, does not do this anymore.
