We are having the White Out Party at Solera again this year and need a total of 20 valets. Last year we were packed for it. About 1500 guests attended. I pay $6.00 an hr cash and guarantee a minimum of $50 in tips. Oh, plus dinner at some point in the night. Start time is 7pm. Finish about 3am. Here is the promoter’s site: http://www.sumthin-special.net/ PM me if you're interested. Thanks, Josh
Sounds like fun, I can use some gas $$$. Do you have any dress requirements? NASCA jumpsuit? PM with the details. Thnx
where is solera located? Anybody wanna do this and car pool down there? I assume parking is going to be intense.
really wow, a big congrats! Was such a great atmosphere for a couple or small group and that style of food is so great because of the amount of variety to share. Reminded me of going out for sushi but much more lively. LOL, dont mean to sales pitch but Ive recommended that place to so many that Ill for sure chime in here! oh and 7-9, office space and jag shots!? rofl sounds awsome!
NASCA? http://www.nasca.com/ No, it's not that kind of party. NASCAR? Ha, that'd be funny. Thanks! Stop in and say hi. 900 Hennepin right next door to the Orpheum. We will give out parking validations to anyone that works so parking is free. Dress: We will hand out shirts. Wear shorts and running shoes.
Someone give Matt the bearded cook a hard time, he should be having a rough night That's my boy:biggrin:
wow that would be fun, let me try to clear it! btw LOVE your restaurant and wine selection - that's where I bring ALL my outta town guests
Sweet! And yes, it's $6 an hr plus tips (min $50). Everyone interested please contact Andrew, our valet manager, at [email protected] He will answer all questions and get you on the schedule for the night! Thanks for all the PMs! Josh
I'll be watching Brandi Carlile at the Basilica that night...Josh, would you mind if I brought a bunch of thirsty Firefighters in afterwards? There are a bunch of us working medical that night and we were planning a drinking session when we got done working. Well, they'll be drinking, I'll be the DD as usual.
Cool! You are more than welcome. The building closes to the public at 10:00 though for the party. After that, you have be wearing all white to get in (not my rules but the promoter of the party). It might be too late after the Basilica party. Oh, one more thing if you want to valet, you have to be 18 with a valid license. Josh
I'll keep your place in mind and let them know. We ended up at Psycho Suzies last year, we had a couple of our people succumb to the "Paralyzed Polynesian". I'm not sure what they put in there, but they weren't kidding
Went to Solera for new years. Josh and Co. knows how to put on a party. Whether you go to valet, or go to party, you will have a good time.
Thanks guys! Yep, going to go pick up my white Puma tracksuit tomorrow morn. Last year I wore a white tux, no tie.
Yep, just confirmed that I'll be working as well - thanks Josh. I'll be driving in from st. paul if anyone needs a ride.
Damn, 6:22 am! Late night. Thanks everyone! Wow, you guys kicked some serious a$$. The event had 2000+ guests and not one lost car. Had a good time after too. Cheers and thanks again, Josh
Hey no prob. It was a crazy time but pretty fun in the end. Thanks again for the beer at the end of the night. If you ever need anyone to do it again let me know i would in for sure.
That was just flat out fun, but when I found out it was light outside I split. Must have been about the same time as you Josh. Post up when the tips are ready to be picked up.
Hi Guys, Tips came to a total of $850. We needed more than $1,050 to pay everyone more than $50 in tips. I ended up kicking in the balance to get everyone up to $50. Sorry there wasn't more. I think some people were crabby about cars taking a bit of time to get back but there was nothing we could do about that. Again, Thanks! Josh
yep no problem - it was still a blast on a completely different note that we can take up offline, my fiancee wants to have a really nice dinner that we can dress up for next month and i'm thinking your place - do you have anything special you are able to do for us? don't know if it will be just us or a group of couples
yeah busy is an understatement! the valet lane there is not exactly set up to handle the traffic we had and there were times bringing cars done that we had to just go around because we would get tickets for double/triple parking cars. they started "letting" us do it though when they saw that we only trying to do our best to keep up with the crowd of people
best is such a relative term. we definitely saw cooler cars than we got to drive. one of the cars must have been ray's cousin or something though, because they had put lambo door hinges on 300M. most of the cars were kinda crappy, no one played good music, and few bothered to leave the air on for us. we actually watched them pull up in 100 degree heat, turn off the ac, and hand it over to us.
