I've used All J's Tire Center in Minneapolis (Xerxes and 50th) a number of times, and have been pretty impressed every time. The best part is that they do off-season tire storage for a pretty reasonable cost, so you don't have to store your winter or summer wheels/tires in your garage and haul them back and forth to get installed. The only thing is that they get pretty darn busy during the spring/fall tire swap season, so during that time you'll want to schedule an appointment a few weeks in advance.

The owner, Jay, is a nice guy and seems to run a pretty tight ship. He gets a lot of fairly high-end cars into the shop, because of his good reputation. I like that his technicians follow good practices without having to be asked - they clean the wheel studs, put anti-seize on, and then for final tightening they torque the lug nuts to spec instead of hammering them on using an impact wrench. I haven't used their alignment or suspension work services, so I can't talk to their quality there...

Also, he has a used Rotary low/mid-rise lift that he wants to sell, anyone want to go in on it? : )
