This is a weird request but I am out of ideas. I have a 3 year old cat that is sick and I cannot afford to take it to a vet. This cat is like a member of the family and my wife and I would be crushed if anything happened to her. So I was wondering if anyone on here is a Vet or knows someone who is a Vet that could possibily help out. I would really appreciate it, thanks.:emo:

Oh no. What is wrong with your kitty? This is not the first time I wished I had gone to school to be a vet like I had wanted to ... :(

Anyway, there are emergency clinics like for humans ... you could try to call one and talk with them, see if there is some sort of payment plan or something if it's too expensive. They are usually very understanding and helpful. The one on 55 in Golden Valley was exceptional when my friend's cat got shot with a pellet gun :(

That is, if there is nobody on the board, at least it's an option.

yes, let me tell you about vet bills, with an epileptic dog, who has had 3 surgerys in the 2 1/2 years i have owned him, and coutless vet visits. There really isnt anyone who can give you free vet care or discounted (university of MN does it but far off from cheap). But there is a card you can apply for thru any vet, where there are really good payment options. and i think with so many months interest free. Ive never applied for it so i couldnt tell you the specifics. But i know how you are feeling, i went thru two of the 3 surgerys last summer.
