Zola, I forgot you had a 23. Have you had more luck holding boost at around 18 psi or tapering? Sometime in my searches, I found an AUS site that quoted a boost curve that gets up to 20 psi at 4000 then down to 12.5 by 7000 that I was thinking of using.
I would look for a compressor map to see what the efficiency ranges are. I can also talk to a couple of the chicago guys to see if they have any vf23 maps. I know txs basically upgrades the firmware to 4.2, uploads the new stg2 map, and tunes from there. I know Nathan said he has a ton of time into the timing map, they just leave it pretty rich (safe for the masses). Russ
Yeah, my link for compressor maps is defunct now that I need it, go figure. I have 2 maps so far, but nothing I'm really excited about.
I have a compressor map that I found somewhere a long time ago, but it's on my home computer. To be honest I haven't attempted holding 18psi with my turbo, I barely run that much at peak boost during the summer. Figure my intercooling isn't good enough to try and run it that hard. So far I haven't had to do much in the boost maps as far as tapering goes, it just seems to naturally want to trail off up top. I haven't done a lot of experimentation with boost curves. Once I get my fuel map nailed down, then I can get into that...lack of warm weather has also deterred me.
