Elm Creek Mountain Bike Trail in Maple Grove, is a finalist for a $100,000 grant from Bell Helmets to build a Pump Track/Bike Park. The pump track/ bike park would be built on the 1.4 acre parcel of land that is across the parking lot from the existing mountain bike trailhead. This brings a huge spotlight on mountain biking in MN and our main competition is Steamboat Springs, CO. Elm Creek is only ahead by 1% and voting
ends this Friday, April 12th. We can't let Colorado take this from us.

It is extremely important to the future of mountain biking in MN. This grant will help open the doors to more dedicated riding areas in the state. [IMG]

Please also help out our Midwest partners by voting for them too.
    Flow Trail- Hobbs Hollow, IN
    DH- Copper Harbor, MI

Even if you don't mountain bike, please vote. It will only take you a couple minutes.
Here is a video that quickly explains the voting process: HOW TO VOTE

Most web browsers work but sometimes you might get a white screen. If this happens, try again using the same browser or maybe try another browser. You will need to 'Like' the Bell page and allow their app before voting.

Thanks for helping out the mountain biking community!!!

No FB access at work so I can't view or vote but I've been there once and it is a decent park for biking. It's paved so it's technically not a "mountain bike trail" but it is about 15 miles long for just the outer ring. Did Lebanon Hills make the list?

Apparently you have not been to Elm Creek recently. Minnesota Off Road Cyclists have built 11+miles of singletrack up there in the past 2 years. It is a great trail system and will only expand. This is not voting for your favorite trail, it has to do with building a bike park/ pump track at the existing mtn bike trailhead. Elm Creek and Minnesota Off Road Cyclists submitted a video to Bell Helmets to get in the running for a $100,00 grant to build a bike park. EC became one of the 4 finalists, and the park is up against Steamboat Springs for the lead.
kickin_81 - Please check out the FB page for more information, when you get home from work. Ever one vote will help! Thanks!

Yes, you are correct. The bike park would be built on the 1.4 acre piece of land on the other side of the paved trail from the parking lot for the mtn bike trail.

Awesome...I see/hear a ton of Subarus drive down that area while I'm in the dog park, so hopefully you get a good amount of votes from here.

Thanks to all of you that took the time to vote to help EC! Ironically, the voting ended in a tie with Steamboat (percentages). Some of us feel that Bell was just using it all as a marketing ploy so we think the voting won't carry as much weight in the final decision. If Bell is smart, they will choose Elm Creek for the grant. I believe they are announcing the winners in about a week.
