VW's entry to the WRC would be an attempt to fill the HUGE gap that was left when Audi retired the Quattro. I would love to see them make a run at that goal because I really miss the Quattro. I would think that since they're all under VAG that they'll have a good knowledgebase to draw on when coming up with a solid team. The Touareg does pretty well in the Dakar and it isn't like there isn't any shortage of VW rally cars in other classes.
The WRC could use a little more excitement. Suzuki hasn't been DNF'ing spectacularly enough. But seriously, the series as it sits is pretty much a 2 manufacturer race, right now, until / if / when / maybe Prodrive gets the new impreza up to par. I suppose the same for Suzuki, but that's quite a ways farther down the road, for them.
that thing looks mean! i like how it looks with those fenders and the interior looks crazy comfy. sweet ride. i hope it does well ive kinda had a thing for aggressive VWs... i just dont say it in public often
