Sorry to burst your bubble, but that looks remarkably like the J tube intake I had for a little while before I went to an Injen CAI, blew my engine, and did an engine swap:

Yup, it was loud as HELL. I got a ticket for it even. It also leaned out my engine like crazy. It was so bad that I was hitting fuel cut at 5500 RPM. I ended up getting an S-AFC and running +22% fuel correction. So all in all I'd say it is probably not that great of an idea :(

Well, with a NA engine, blowing it up so you can replace it is a great idea. At least, if one can afford the engine swap...

just a little word of advice.. you post on a public forum and ask peoples opinions etc then dont get all pissy when they are rude or not... deal with it... not everyone is gonna like what ya do to your vehicle...

some people dont like the fact that I have 19's on my wrx.. but thats ok... I dont know why they dp soem of the things they do to their cars... I live with it.. I like my car.. big deal what others think... unless you need some ego stroking to get comfort and adoration then why get so bent out of shape..

like ya said.. you drive yours and you love it.. enough said!

ps... technically it is NOT the 'EXACT' same thing for free otherwise it would be nice and shiny like and not so beat like... rest my case enjoy driving your car dude
