I saw a post asking if there was a GT-R in the area available for a photo shoot. The photographer, Marc Shap, wanted to add one to his portfolio. We shot at 35th ST and Hiawatha as well as a low traffic road along the elevators for the moving shots. I showed up and he even had an assistant. He also talked to a small import auto garage and they let us shoot inside while they were open and working on cars. At one point, an employee in the grain elevator came in while we were shooting in a truck bay. I thought for sure he would kick us out. He stayed for some time saying "This is the highlight of my month, my job is always the same. Stay as long as you want." Would have been nice to have some sun but I love the way they turned out with gray skies. Marc is also looking for a 2008 STi to shoot. Email him at [email protected] if you're interested. The moving pics were fun. Wish you couldn't see me in them. Next time, I'll have to sit further back and wear shades
I really liked this one minus me: I had to drive fairly close while keeping at the same speed and watching the road.
I think he will. This was a first run at the pics for him. He said while we were shooting that once he was done, you wouldn't be able to see me in any of the rolling shots.
good good. yeah, it's real easy: The industrial theme works really well. I would LOVE to see some nature shots too... maybe blowing through a pile of leaves or something.
better than any make funded pictures of a vehicle I've ever seen. Car companies should start taking pictures like this for their brochures.
GTR owner please read this....is this for real? http://www.nagtroc.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=25361
Amazing! You can break cars. Who would have thunk. I'm not sure how this is a surprise really.
Yes, I think you can get the original sizes here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/dpmarc/...7608071713233/ Click on the All Sizes button under the title of the pic. And no, I haven't blown my trans. No VDC off for me.
The guy admits to doing 20 LCs. Would any manufacturer cover it especially when they made you sign saying you wouldn't? They shouldn't have put launch control on the car. It's too heavy for it and not what the car was meant to do.
Those are great pics! I too would like to shoot your car for my portfolio. And by "shoot", I mean drive. By "drive", I mean "I would settle for a ride in the passenger seat while screaming like a schoolgirl at a New Kids concert". Just kidding (kind of) I still need to see this beast in person, one of these days I'll have to make my way over to Firestone when it's there.
I think I should edit the title of this thread to read "do not open unless paper towels are handy". Wow that is hot!
I love your pics but I fell you need to work a bit on the editing... Im in no way saying these are great but I feel they bring a bit more out of your already sweet pics.
