I want to do a documentary on rally racing in the area. My friend and i have a film company 14 degree films and I want to work with someone to show what its all about. Its such a cool sport it would be a blast to film. If you know anyone who would be comfortable getting filmed and has a rally car that they race I would like to take suggestions. If your curious what kind of work that we have done you can just take a look at our website: http://14degreefilms.com/ It doesn't have to be rally racing. Other racing would be cool too, but rally racing is preferred. We live in the Duluth/Superior area so the closer to Duluth the better. We have no intentions on making money off of it. The goal is to make a sweet documentary about something exciting, get involved in the rally scene, and hopefully get some positive feedback when people see it. You can contact us off of the website or just reply back to this post. Contact: Spencer Johnson Phone: (218)-390-8361 [email protected]
I'm not a rally driver but I've gotta say the Backwoods Baja looks awesome! How does a guy get involved with that? Did it take place up in your area? My wife is from Supe Town and we were married at Spirit Mountain last summer so needless to say we're up there quite a bit... lots of fun roads to drive down as well!
I think I own and operate the only active rally team on this forum. www.ziptierally.com. We have 2 cars. My car, #171, 2004 Open Class STI out of Minneapolis (took 2nd in class, 2nd overall in Rally America Central Regional Championship), and #858 owned and driven by Anthony Israelson who is out of the Duluth area (took 3rd in open light last year, 22nd overall - will be running open class next season). Our crew chief is also out of Duluth. Filming at either RallyMN (in May) which is out of Park Rapids or Nemadji Trail 1/2 in June/July out of Duquette, MN would probably work the best to get action footage.
On you site there is a film called "Backwoods Baja 2010". I watched it and it looked like a lot of fun. That is what I was referring to.
his name is carl, but he doesn't speak regular Engrish....I'm his co-driver and will translate for you.
