Hello, everyone. My eldest just got an early Christmas present from his grandparents. He's very proud of it, and was especially impressed to see real 'Race Care Men' wearing the same suit on the back of the latest Drive Performance magazine. Bye for now, Stuart.
They actually found the suit in a specialty shop at Meadowhall. That's the UK equivalent of the Mall of America. I think it's about the size of Southdale. The easiest place to get them is online via the SWRT merchandising site... http://store.swrt.com/. Can't help you with the hat, though. That's a knock off that came from Cyprus. Bye for now, Stuart.
That's pretty creative, man. It looks good on your son. I bet if you take your boy to a rally event, he'd get a lot of attention.
WOW ~ I love it! He is very cute and seems so excited to have a new Subie outfit. You know kids love to wear their favorite clothes ~ you're gonna have a hard time getting him to wear anything else I think.
That's a sweet outfit!!! I m gonna have to get that for my son when he gets that big. Here is my latest
Hey dream, that is the best baby outfit i've ever seen!! Cute kid too! Nathan, I can't say I approve of you letting your kid wear your diaper! They sure do look happy though!!
^^^ ha hah ha.. well the other pic I didnt post was my oldest son in my favourite suit... BIRTHDAY.. runnign through the house with his pekcer in hand.. JUST LIKE DAD!! and my youngest son is too young too wear anything but what momma puts him in... ha ha ha
I've got a great video clip of my little 21 month old playing race car driver (with sound effects) in the driver's seat of my WRX. I can't seem to capture it to the PC with sound though...
They grow like weeds ! Well, my eldest did outgrow the suit he got back in November, but his grandma and grandad were nice enough to get him a bigger one a couple of weeks ago. They also picked up a suit for his co-driver. The steering wheel is a rattle that came with the baby's outfit. Stuart.
  Those pics are great stu! Those are some understanding grandparents they have! I see they're in the right hand drive STi!? lllllolllll!!
I think Mike would say Sparco. There is a lot of Sparco in that car. Trust me I have been thinking about it.
The youngest is now just big enough to get into his brother's old suit. The trunk monkey is wearing the baby suit these days. They prefer not to wear socks in the house as bare feet gain them extra traction on the marble and wood floors. Stuart.
When I told the little one that I found a suit for him, his eyes just lit up and he got the biggest grin on his face. He told me that he is a baby Subaru, and when he grows up, he is going to be Daddy's car. I said, "You mean you want to drive Daddy's car." He said, "No. Be Daddy's Car!" He wants to go vroom vroom vroom! He likes to shout, "Faster, Daddy, FASTER!" when Stuart shifts gears. Like Stuart needs any encouragement... Off to a taverna to have some excellent local fare, or so we're told. Either way, we have to go through the twisty turny village roads to get there! --Trish
Well, I'm a bit less in love with his Subaru today... Stuart "couldn't find a place to turn around" in one of the many villages we passed, and we ended up half-way up Mount Troodos last night. The way up wasn't so bad, but after we finally found another road to turn around on, I ended up getting soooo motionsick as a result of bombing along the Z corners. We had to drive with the windows down and sit for a while when we reached our destination. I rarely got carsick in MN, but everything is so hilly, so twisty, and there is no shoulder, just mountainside and imminent death. The road lines are lit up, and that's it. It looks kind of like a real-life video game. Stuart, on the other hand, was grinning like a Chesire cat. He loved it, and I am not sure he really slowed down when he said he would. He did say he was driving slower than he would have if he was alone in the car, so I guess I'll take what I can get. I'm not sure if the 20 course meze that followed helped. Rabbit? Pigeon? Snails? Whole octopus? Liver of various beasties? Most were good, a few were... culturally interesting. At least I didn't have to eat goat eyes. (Usually a high honor given to visitors.) Normally I dont like sheftalia, but last night was simply the best I've ever eaten. Stuart's going to put on the new pedals today and clean up the car, so I guess that is us going for a drive along the sea tomorrow. Somehow the sea air is better for my carsickness. At least I can blame going slower today on the children, since one of them is a puker. But since he's Daddy's real-life Trunk Monkey, Stuart gives him a little slack. --Trish
Very cute boys!! So I've slacked and not gotten Riley the outfit but just got his 3 yr old pics back from the photographers:
Cute pic. Is he your budding pit crew, too ? That toy looks a lot like the Unofficially Licenced Subaro we bought the kids earlier in the year... I suspect yours is probably better quality. The rear axle of this one sheared off, leaving some freakishly sharp edges, and had to be disposed of amid many tears of anguish :emo: Stuart.
Ours is a remote control car. It's a bit banged up and I'm surprised the spoiler hasn't broke yet as it seems to get used as a handle. Riley is definately a Subaru kid though..whenever someone asks him what happens in the winter time, he goes into a lengthy explanation about ice racing
She's absolutely right about that. On one side you have the sheer face of the mountain, on the other is the sheer drop from the mountain. There are no streetlights, except for a couple in the villages, and all you have to go on is what you can see in your headlights. It is kind of scary, but a fun kind of scary. It also makes it seem like you're going a lot faster than you really are. I need to take a run up there early on a Sunday morning so I can actually see some of the scenery. Stuart.
