I don't know what she was thinking, I drove the wife into work and we dropped off our daughter at day care. before I dropped off Boupha, we stopped for coffee at Caribou. I don't think our barista knows how much stress she put on our marriage by having her cleavage on display. This barista is very pretty from the get go, but today, with my wife there... and it was early... tooo early not to stare. They both caught me, my wife said something to the effect of "Well, I'm thinking he's taken by you..." so what do I come up with? I said acting oblivious (wich I am good at) as I continued to stare acting with no shame "Did you know that your button on your apron blinks to the tune of Jingle Bells? Thats Awesome!".:laugh: Well it fooled no-one. Everyone knew and everyone laughed at my attempt to wiggle free of the shame of being the gawking spouce no wife wants. As we walked away and back to the car my wife says "She was very pretty Dave, and her button on her apron was playing silent night".
lol, boys and boobs..... but, not gonna lie, bet i would have been looking to if they where on display with blinking lights and all:laugh:
That was some funny stuff... I read it to my wife once I wiped the tears from my eyes!:laugh::laugh:
Yeah, my wife is asian, she doesn't get sarchasm, but she does have good comic timeing and thank god she has a sense of humor.
I'm feeling kinda down, I don't know if I will feel comfortible going back in there for coffee next time, it is the only Coffee shop close to my work place... Either that, or go back and just "own it". Next time I see her I can say "sure, why can't you dress like that when my wife isn't around?" or should I just pretend like it never happened?
NO COAL! Just socks, underware, jeans, and a preordered book that comes out in september. No coal.... I guess in retrospec, this wasn't a big deal. She actualy thinks it is funny, and her sisters all said stuff like " John would have asked for her number" and "It is amazing her made it back to the car, my guy would have just stood there untill the girl covered up". Yeah, she had to tell her sisters.
No, The second book in "The Strain" series by Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan. http://www.thestraintrilogy.com/
that will probably come out when it is supposed to then. the martin book has been delayed for years and proably wont show untill 11. i always get nervous preordering books that far out. that looks pretty interesting.
The first book was quite good. I like the concept of a creature noval where the vampires are not evil, rather instinctual survivalists in conflict with their prey. I also hate the cutesy world of teen Vamp novals that are written for 50 somethings, cat ladies, and teeny boppers.... Twilight novals make me wanna puke! "The Strain" is more along then lines of an "us vs. them" death match of the speices. It is Dark terror noval. It is not a romance noval, and it will never hit the mainstream the way the Twilight novals have. I strongly recomend this to anyone that enjoyed Hellboy, or Pan's Labyrinth.
LOL that's a funny story! Oh, yeah btw which Caribou is this? I may have to go there and get some coffee and do a little recon!
