I'm hearing some wastegate flutter on my VF39, running about 18-19 psi. The arm is not adjustable, and I don't think I can drop in the wastegate from TD04 cause I don't think the arm on the VF39 is removable (the TD04 has a C-clamp).

I've found some information on helper springs, but I'm not sure exactly how I would install one. I'm assuming the spring is strung between the wastegate and the turbo to put even more pressure on keeping the gate closed.

    Any suggestions?

Andrew you ever go down to midway? Let me know. I would like to ride in your car and see if it has the same problem I have.

wastegate flutter is a perfectly normal thing. a helper spring is going to throw off your boost tables if you ever do tuning(so i hear).

Yeah, it's going to bork up everything since it's increasing the wg spring pressure.

Get used to the sound of it.

my stock WRX has some mean flutter.

learn to live with it, its here to stay. Its a mechanical thing, its not really fixable, its just the sound your car makes when it does something.

It's normal...Form what I understand it's affected by ambient temperature. When it's cold out, I only hear it once in a while. When it's warm out, I hear it all the time. I like it :)
