ok for driving for 2 days and a half to cali put 2k..i was wondering wat engine management should i check for...any replacing on axle..bearing..ect....thankx.
Like what Yia said; change your oil, tranny fluid, spark plugs, air filter, etc. Things that you'd normally change on a month to month basis. I'm sure your bearings are fine and your ECU should not be tinkered with unless you got a CEL on the trip. Tires, I'm sure they're worn down a bit. Nothing you'd need to worry about, Lee. Take it easy down there!
ok...i new that...****...spark plugs....gonna get oil change sometime this week....man my casr is making a funny noise...at 5 gear, when its at a low rpm, when gasing you hear a some what loud noise and you can fell it on the gas paddle...i think its my drive shaft cuz you can fell the vibration under you....no place i know around here to take it too..cuz i dont trust anyone yet...might put it on ramp and take a look at it....i'll see wat i can find...unless someone has experiance this before....
I have experienced driveshaft vibration in a 240sx, the mount for it had gotten loose. If it's the driveshaft usually it's in every gear and a specific RPM. My friend had driven to S3 with the driveshaft vibrating at 60mph. So he sped up to 70-75 and sure enough there was a cop sitting on hwy 55 and nailed us. He told the cop about the driveshaft and he bought it! I'd say just put the car up on jacks and check to make sure all the bolts are good on the driveshaft, if they are, have fun with the tranny.
