We need a stock shifter for WRX/97-01 RS Car has an OEM short throw shifter so if you have an OEM one or a cheap short throw shifter let us know! The car has a narrow width shifter on it, I tried putting a short throw shifter from one of our old WRX's and it doesn't fit. Please let me know!
I've got a stock 06 wrx shifter. When I installed my cobb short throw, I had to cut some metal out where the shifter would hit it in third gear. You may have to do the same thing.
Hmm, so much for my plans of going with a Cobb. I don't want to have to cut away at something just to upgrade to an aftermarket sts... or even modify the shifter itself. Should come with all the neccessary parts and near precise fitment IMO.
It's so easy! It's more of a shaving than anything, and when you want to go back to stock there are no problems. But I was looking on the Cobb website and they aren't selling them anymore for some reason. Don't know why, mine is great.
